A Charity We’re Proud to Back
Community matters to us. Not in a headline way, but in a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves way. We believe in supporting good work close to home and doing it properly.
At the start of 2025, we invited our employee forum to reach out across the wider team and nominate a community charity. They spoke, we listened, and the overwhelming ‘yes’ for Crocus perfectly aligned with our company values launch event that March. Based in Monaghan and deeply rooted in the local community, Crocus was chosen because it resonated with us, many of us having experienced the impact of cancer first hand in our own families and communities.
A Year of Shared Effort
Over the past year, our teams supported Crocus through a series of fundraising initiatives. From cake sales and a Christmas Jumper Day to one standout highlight: a static bike ride where teams logged the miles of a cycle across Ireland, complete with a surprise superhero appearance. It was fun, slightly chaotic, and just the kind of shared effort that brings people together in support of a great cause. We also kept the momentum going throughout the year by recycling for Crocus. Every returnable can collected was banked for the Crocus fund; a simple way to keep momentum going outside organised events.
Meet Crocus: Local Support, Real Impact
Crocus Cancer Support Centre provides free, confidential support to people living with cancer and their families across Monaghan and the surrounding areas. They offer counselling, peer support, and practical help, all delivered with care, dignity, and an understanding of the community they serve. It’s a calm, welcoming place when life can feel anything but. Their mission matters because it’s local, personal, and focused on meeting real needs.

We are proud of the funds raised and the way our team showed up: Colleagues coming together united by a shared purpose. That sense of togetherness and doing things properly is something we value at Arthur Mallon Foods.
We’re grateful to everyone who took part, donated, baked, cycled, dressed up, or simply cheered others on. Being Crocus’s Charity Alliance in 2025 has helped them plan ahead, continue their valuable work. We’re equally grateful to Crocus for the work they do every day, often quietly and without fanfare.
Supporting Crocus reflects who we are: we are rooted in our local community and committed to making a positive mark where it counts.
